Quitting is not an option

Why Quitting Is Important.

Are you quitting to move on to something better? Are you quitting to improve your personal or mental health? Are you quitting because the current situation no longer serves you? Being afraid of quitting, could literally be blocking you from starting that new business, going back to school, moving to a new city or embarking on a new career journey. If you’re still unsure, run through this quick checklist.

“Finding Your Passion” Is A Myth?

Don’t wait for your inspiration to reveal itself to you – rather, start with something you like to do. Even if it’s not what’s making you money at the moment, it might someday, but it won’t ever make you money if you don’t even start. There are iterations to effort and the first ones are the least attractive. Try to fall in love as much as possible with the fact that you’re doing what you like to do which will feel inherently better than not doing it. That in itself is the passion.

How To Finish What You Start

How is that some people are able to always finish what they start? What differentiates the finishers, so to speak, from those that quit and give up? The difference lies in the loss of motivation and our inherent desire to seek pleasure as opposed to pain. The fact is, when a goal is new, it’s exciting. We get amped and juiced, breathing new air into our lives as we decide to go after that lofty dream. But what happens over time is no surprise. We lose that initial zeal. We hit some roadblocks. We reach some plateaus. And ultimately, we give up. So why is it so hard to finish what you start?

Think about those times when you were driving and you knew not to take a certain route, but you did anyway and ended up stuck in traffic. This is an instance when you didn’t listen to your intuition. Sometimes the consequences of ignoring our sixth sense can have even more dire consequences.
