My happiness and fulfilment when it comes to blogging relies mostly on two things: how proud I am of the work I’m creating and sharing, and my perspective. When I start to lose perspective and shift into a mindset that isn’t healthy or productive, I can really struggle to maintain my focus along the way.
“At some point, I realized that I had to give up other people’s definition of success. This is one of the most difficult things to give up because it is so deeply embedded in our cultural narratives that it becomes the standard by which we measure our lives. Even as entrepreneurs we have collectively agreed that fame and fortune are the markers of success.
What goes around, comes around. We all believe in karmic laws, just name and think to suit our direction. You may not be aware of it, but your thoughts and actions are so powerful that they carry energy. What you think and do echoes through time and throughout eternity. And, because our lives are interlinked, what you do and the intentions of your actions, good or bad, will eventually come back to you in this lifetime. In other words, what you do now will indirectly shape your future. This is how karma affects your life.
Disappointment is inevitable; it is how you deal with it that sets the blueprint for the rest of your life!
Everyone has at least one sour-faced relative, friend or neighbor with an embittered soul who never has a good thing to say about anyone or anything! Such people move around with curdled expressions and malevolent eyes, *nary a smile on their lips… Do you think life has dealt them a more unfair deal than to others? What embittered them so much that their view of the world and fellow beings became so jaundiced?
