10 Blessings In Disguise

10 Blessings In Disguise

Rejection. Losing. Failure. Nobody strives for them. Do you? No athlete sets out to lose, no entrepreneur’s goal is bankruptcy. But as if an act of divine mercy, there are positives to be found in the negatives. In fact, successful people often preach as Gospel the value found in failure. Denis Waitley said it well - “Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is a delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing and being nothing.” The mark of a successful person lies in their response to negative situations. They lick their wounds but stay on the battlefield. They find strength in their scars.

25 Ways To Spread Some Joy

25 Ways To Spread Some Joy

Make it your mission to make someone happy! Winter always seems to bring back all good and bad memories. The holiday season and the New Year! Sometimes, they make us nostalgic and that's what I'm feeling right now. Everything is starting to look grey and I feel blue. Yes, even I'm human and I don't everytime be positive and mind glowingly awesome. I don't feel bad sharing about this either. It's a natural phase, I suppose. So now, simply sitting here and feeling nostalgic and weary, I've decided to share some joy so that my heart smiles remembering this day and when I look at it this way, I'm already smiling. It makes me happy just to share more and more cheerfulness. Spreading more sunshine and warmth this cold season! Anyway, the reason behind my mood, I thought as I was feeling a little blue because of the on-going rubbish weather, I would try to make myself think of 25 things that would cheer me up. Doing this task really brought me out of my funk and if it can do that for me, it might be able to help someone else feeling a little down. So, here are my 25 things to help you spread some joy and happiness to others around you:

HOW TO FIND YOUR PASSION (YES, I’M GOING THERE)

HOW TO FIND YOUR PASSION (YES, I’M GOING THERE)

I’m going to do my best and address this topic anyway because I’ve gotten so many requests to broach this subject. Which makes me realize that there are so many people out there walking around, passion-less. Read that sentence over again if you have to. And then you will understand exactly where I’m going with this post. I have written about growth mindset and how passion maybe, "maybe" a myth. You can read it here - Finding your passion is a myth? As the New year is upon us, and the fear of setting goals and resolutions and starting new and wonderful seems all right, we all know something happens around the year and we fail to stick to our so-called "passions." While I'm in total support of keeping a diary and a planner for the year, I know for once that we need to learn to forgive ourselves for accepting ourselves completely. There is an immense power in self-acceptance. I had to write this topic as a quick reminder check for 2019!
