That’s life. You could have a long innings, or a short one — one never knows. As such one can only hope for the best and be prepared for the worst. We all seek the comfort of permanence, but the only reliable truth is that of impermanence. Nobody ever managed to beat that! We surround ourselves with the illusions of permanence – a solid house we call home, people we love who love us back, friends, annual events, plans for the future, books to be read, movies to be watched, and so on. And yet, all slips away from us. Insecure, once again we struggle to look for things that give us a sense of permanence – the company of young people; shopping for clothes we plan to wear on happy occasions, food to fill our fridge with, and books to line our racks with. We resist facing this one unpalatable, yet unchangeable truth — that impermanence is the only permanence.
After studying and implying it in my life, I'm here to share this with you. It takes courage to stand up for yourself. Never apologize for elevating your thoughts, shifting your mindset from negative people and negative situations and outgrow your personality. This is a deep and very informative write up that I've taken weeks to articulate. I've studied the practices mentioned, applied them in my life and observed the shift happening. I'm here to share this with you only after seeing positive changes in the last six months. Read this only if you have a quiet time and are willing to make a shift in your life.
How many times have we been told to push harder? “Never quit”. “No pain, no gain”. But do you know how to actually become a person who never quits? People become complacent when things go wrong. “I earn less because I didn’t go to college”. “I don’t have friends because I’m shy”. It’s easy to have excuses. Few hold the belief that we can become whoever we want to be in life. We just need to take charge. We just need to lay one brick at a time and soon enough we’ll have a strong wall of success. People usually believe that being tough means pushing harder. But sometimes, we need to zoom out and focus on the bigger picture. We need to ask ourselves a very basic question – “What is my purpose?”
Disappointment is inevitable; it is how you deal with it that sets the blueprint for the rest of your life!
Everyone has at least one sour-faced relative, friend or neighbor with an embittered soul who never has a good thing to say about anyone or anything! Such people move around with curdled expressions and malevolent eyes, *nary a smile on their lips… Do you think life has dealt them a more unfair deal than to others? What embittered them so much that their view of the world and fellow beings became so jaundiced?
