We all have compared ourselves to some other person/people at least once in our lives. We all are guilty of forgetting our beautiful soul for that particular moment when realization strikes and you're back to your own reality. Well...STOP. Just stop comparing yourself to some one else because you are a miracle and you're unique in your own way. Job title, income, grades, house, and the social media comments and likes—the number of categories in which we can compare ourselves to others are infinite. So is the number of people we can compare ourselves to. A comparison is generally the fast track to unhappiness. It’s a recipe for misery. All it does is keeping you focused on what you don’t like about yourself and your life. Here are ten powerful reminders when you start comparing yourself to others:
But, lets start with what is self-love? Many of us don’t know the answer to this question. The truth is, many of us never truly developed it, or it is not very strong. This can lead to destructive, harmful, and unhealthy ways we treat ourselves, including how we allow others to mistreat us. It wasn’t until I wrote a self-love affirmation that I started on a journey that helped me recover and, heal my depression, and build a life centered on well-being and happiness. Anyone can write a self-love affirmation. Even if you think your self-love is good, it’s important to make sure to continue to build your self-love and keep it strong. Having strong self-love is the foundation for which the rest of your life and your happiness stands.
You’re looking to consolidate your gains. Only a crazy person would invest time, energy — true sweat equity — into something only to abandon it for no good reason. I’d come so far in getting into a daily regimen of writing, being a full-time business student and on my way to becoming a certified coach, working toward my first startup and moving forward toward publishing my first book. (too many things, right?) Then, family and financial duties called. Not to forget my medical situation too. Next thing I knew, I was in the vicious cycle of life. When you’re there, you realize that like a hamster on a wheel, it’s hard to slow down. We tend to rely exclusively on the left side of our brains, with little regard for the creativity, imagination, and gifts of wonder that illuminate our thoughts and dreams. In other words — we’re focused on process and tasks, not what we love.
Being a vegetarian (been one since birth. yeah it's extremely common among Indians) and struggling to get healthy with my choices for food for a good, healthy lifestyle has always been a struggle. I started writing about food and sharing recipes since the last month (so far, I've shared only 2 recipes) and I've come to know the importance of staying healthy more than ever. It's all about the right mindset. So today, I won't share a recipe but instead share some tips to help you and keep you on track about making the right choices when it comes to health and food. Consider this as a friend's advice because that is how I'm writing this out..Just simple language and not even going to make revisions or make changes later on.. Sharing this as I write and publish a raw draft.
