I know it’s not 8th August yet, just a few more hours, but, I’m just so excited!!!! A year ago, I decided to start this blog to have my personal space to write. Kind of like a virtual journal. A year ago, this blog was born. My own little space on the huge pool of social media.

Blogiversery! Yayyy. Lol

Eclipsed Words was born in some of the most difficult times of my life. I decided to pen out the negative feelings in a good way. Decided to inspire myself and keep on motivating to do so and channel my thoughts in a proper direction. Keep on continuing my soul to “Aspire To Inspire.” A year since then, I am nothing but grateful. Every unique soul behind those everyday statistics on WordPress & my followers has been a huge support and so very good. I am just happy about creating this social family. My family. Or so, having the opportunity to connect with you. The emails, comments and even the follow backs on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and the sharing and connecting with the art and words, seem to me like a blessed day, every day! I love you all and couldn’t have asked for more than your kindness. You helped me, help myself! And, if my writing has inspired even one soul out there to do their best, I am complete and content in knowing I could help a little.

“My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.” ~ Maya Angelou

How perfect are these words for so many moments in life?

What would you do if you found out that you only had 3 months to live and that there was no known cure? Would you scream? Would you collapse on the floor, break down and cry? Would any words ever be enough to offer even the smallest bit of consolation? Every day, people around the world are fighting battles we know nothing about, in spite of all their suffering, all their anger, sadness, and fear, they get up and somehow, they face the day. That’s a special kind of bravery, and in my books, a special kind of Heroism.

For those of us who are possibly a bit quieter, our kindness and love are really important qualities, and we should cherish those softer parts of our soul as they help us connect to other humans. For those of you, who have known happiness and pain, each of you have your own unique story to share. Stories that may, if we listen, just that little more carefully, help us understand them a little better.

{Everything you need is inside} Everyday, every breath is a gift from God. You have just what you need at this very moment. A moment of introspection, gratitude, and contentment to be who you are. If you see something beautiful in someone, Speak IT. Speak with kindness and gratitude. Kindness if free! Remember everyone you meet is afraid of something, love something and has lost something. We never really know what someone is going through or the battles they are facing. So be kind. Always. And never let your pride get the best of situations.

You might think you don’t matter, but because of you, someone has a favorite mug to drink their coffee from each morning that you bought them. Someone hears a song on the radio and it reminds them of you. Someone has read a book that you recommended to them and got lost in its pages. Someone remembered a joke you told and smiled to themselves. Someone tried on a new top and felt beautiful because you complimented them on it. Someone has a memory that makes them grin that involves you. Someone now likes themselves a little more because you made a passing comment that made them feel good.

Never think that you don’t have an impact on people, your fingerprints can’t be wiped away from the little marks of kindness that you left behind.

‘If you don’t get a miracle, become one.’ ~ Nick Vujicic

  7. Congratulations, AIshwarya, on a year of blogging! You do wonderful work on your blog. When I feel frustrated, I can remember your words and find encouragement.

It’s true that we have a greater impact in the world than we imagine. Each of us will leave a memory of our time here, even if no one remembers the exact actions or words or even our names once we pass. Even if we are not remembered, our influence cannot be lost. A small act of kindness now can change the life of one person, which subsequently changes the lives of his or her children, and on and on. It’s like the old Christmas film “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

If I had three months to live, I don’t think I would despair. Yes, I may feel sad for a moment about leaving this world, at once beautiful and terrible, and my family and friends, but I know that death is not the end. I would spend the last three months aiming to make the memory of my existence a wholly positive and encouraging one.

I have a feeling that you would too. 🙂

  8. Congratulations and Kudos to You Aishwarya on your One Year Blogversary. Your flow of thoughts and the way you put them is simply marvelous. 10. Congratulations and well done! As you look forward in your life and express your feelings in your blog, I look back. I try to defang life lessons by showing them as fantasy tales. We are at different stages. Thank you for visiting and liking my blog.

  11. Congratulations and happy bloggiversary!! I agree that kindness is free and so are smiles. Those acts can make such a difference in someone’s life. Someone all the time is going through something. It may not be obvious or hidden behind facades. That smile or kindness for that person could just make a difference from a bad day to a good one.
Looking forward to reading more of your posts and thank you visiting my site earlier this week!!
