Worded Magic (1)

I wanted a more ethnic way (apart from my writings) of representing my art. Song lyrics, good music speaks to our soul.

Aah! Songs just help me through everything. Music makes me feel alive.

I’m sure I’m not the only one.

So here’s including a new category called “Lyrics” under the name ‘Worded Magic.’ Because, magic can bring out extravagant results. Words hold the magic to either break or build. Just as our emotional patterns change and our feelings go high and low, I thought of putting forth my art that represents what I feel through the songs that mean a lot to me.

I decided to start with,

THE ROSE – WESTLIFE

Love is like a flower to me.

Some say love it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.

Some say love it is a hunger
An endless, aching need
I say love it is a flower,
And you, its only seed.

It’s the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It’s the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance

It’s the one who won’t be taken,
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying
That never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long.
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong.

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love,
In the spring, becomes the rose.

You can listen to this song here.

Happy Reading to you all. May you all have the strength and courage to make it through whatever that’s pulling you down right now.

Keep your spirit up! ❤

P.S. – Please ignore the linings on the sketch. It was drawn by me more than 6 years ago.

  2. This is totally amazing. The sketch, the lyrics, the words…And you are totally right, good music does speak to our soul, our mind. It helps us figure out stuff and soothe/excites our soul as required. 🙂
    Keep up the good work!
